Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schneckener


Ulrich Schneckener is a Professor of International Relations & Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Osnabrück. His research focusses on international and European security issues, international conflict management & peacebuilding, armed conflict and political violence. Before joining the University, he worked from 2002 to 2009 as a researcher and policy advisor at the SWP in Berlin, Germany’s major foreign and security policy think tank.

Prof. Dr. Alexander De Juan


Alexander De Juan is a Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Osnabrück. His research focusses on the relationship between violent conflict, state-building and development. He has previously worked as a project manager and sector economist with the German development Bank KfW. He regularly consults for development cooperation in fragile and conflict-affected states.
